Our services concept offers our clients the development of passenger compartments and platforms for complete bodies or derivatives. The focus in each case is on the specific customer’s modular design.
Within Semcon, close cooperation with calculation and analysis specialists for optimizing strength, stiffness and crash performance has proven very practical. This cooperation finds expression in maximum body performance with minimum weight and at minimal cost. Our know-how in the design of armoured vehicles results not least of all from this cooperation. Body contours are created in ICEM Surf or Alias in the Body subunit, too; the engineering data are generated in Catia V5 and UG.
Other assignments that we handle:
- Production planning
- Planning of assembly and joining sequences
- Definition of corrosion protection measures
- Determining of body acoustics, insulation and seam sealing.
For lightweight body design/aluminium and lightweight body design/CFRP we have set up separate skill centers in Bad Friedrichshall and Wolfsburg.
