In Gearbox & Drive Train we work to develop drive technology, cooperating closely with various system suppliers in the design of differentials. Because of our expertise several automakers already involve our engineers in the development process at the advanced development stage.

A central topic in the area of gearboxes and drive trains is the development and application of electronic controls. Another aspect is the improvement of drive train components and the enhancement of their efficiency, for example through the reduction of friction losses. Accordingly, our engineers develop specific gearbox test benches for various kinds of testing and validation.

The new technical components which we are developing for future hybrid and electric vehicles substantially broaden the scope of the Gearbox & Drive Train subunit.
