Crash & Safety

In the Crash & Safety subunit our engineers are partners who work out country-specific verification programs for vehicle crash purposes, making allowance for valid laws and regulations. We support our clients in:

• Airbag tests: development testing, quality surveillance, out-of-position tests
• Pedestrian safety studies
• Head impact tests under FMVSS 201 U (free-motion headform)
• Pendulum head impact tests under ECE R 21
• Testing of dashboards, seats and panels

As a further service, Semcon specialists support vehicle crash testing right on the customer’s premises. This includes evaluation, documentation and communication of the results of each vehicle crash.
