Environment Simulation
The increasing complexity of systems in motor vehicles necessitates checking their function by environment simulation methods and ensuring it over the entire lifecycle. In its development work Semcon focuses on the following:
• Accelerated climate analyses, e.g., climate change, climate storage and
corrosion of components and vehicles
• Vibration analyses, hydropulse tests
• Sun simulations
• Heat and cold tests.
These environmental simulations are supplemented by photogrammetric deformation analyses, i.e., non-contact investigations of the expansion, contraction and behaviour under motion of components in cold or heat. Specific test specifications must be developed (test tailoring) to adapt all test parameters to the service life and robustness desired by the client.
