Strength & Components
The Strength & Components subunit performs laboratory testing of initial samples, for example for colour and luster, as well as sub-assembly analyses on flexible test benches. This includes static and dynamic strength and stiffness analyses on:
• Components, e.g., module cross members
• Body systems, e.g., doors and lids/gates
• Appointments, e.g., interior door trim
• The suspension, e.g., stabilizer bars
• The drive, e.g., engine mounting supports
In addition, our engineers conduct endurance and abuse tests, for example on doors, lids and gates, stowage compartments and window regulators. The range of services is rounded off by service life studies employing electrodynamic shakers and hydraulic, multiaxial vibrating tables. Non-automotive system tests, for example on solar panels, also are a part of the scope of services.
