Råda power station
Fortum Generation chose to hire Semcon when they repaired and renewed the generator, turbine, electrical and control equipment for Råda Power Station, which became operational in 1938.
Semcon delivered control equipment for the whole station and dam, as well as an auxiliary power unit.
This had the following effects on the power station:
- increased dependability
- modern, easy to use controls
- more efficient plant operation and maintenance
- improved and more flexible electricity production
Råda power station has an aggregate of 2.6 MVA and a normal annual production of 8 GWh. The gross drop height is 5.9 meters and the turbine type is Kaplan.
